Professional Experience
Actually, I have just opened my restoration laboratory in Pescara
where I have begun to work with both public institutions and private
antiquaries.
Restoration of paintings (Main works)
2007-2009
Restoration of several paintings. In succession some works:
The last supper, altar piece of San Rocco Church in Montorio al Vomano (about 1580)
Virgin's Assumption, copy of Santa Maria del Popolo Carracci's paintings, San Rocco Church in Montorio al Vomano (about 1620)

2006/07
Restoration of six wood bust of Saints and six reliquary in shape
of forearms, dated at the middle of XVII century, that are of property
of the Atri's Capitolar Museum (TE). The work has been effected
under the supervision of Superintendence and the restoration project
has been approved by Superintendence director, dott.ssa Anna Imponente.

Restoration of three paintings (oil on canvas with frames) dated
between the end of 1500 and the middle of 1600, for the Fano Adriano's
church (TE). The project has been approved by competent authority
in the April 2006 and the work has been certificated by Superintendence

2004 March
Restoration of XVII century paintings , oil on canvas, 124 cm x
85 cm, with original frame.
Operations:
- Conservative restoration. Fixing of the colours with organic paste,
reconstruction of the support, strip-lining with BEVA, framework
on new frame;
- Painting restoration. Cleaning with both solvents (Methyl ethyl
ketone + 4% Ethyl cellulose) and scalpel; applications of in-painting
techniques: levelling of the surfaces preparation of tempera-based
colours and finishing varnishes used in ''tratteggio'' selection
and mimetic techniques; varnishing with organic and synthetic varnish
(Blanc-matt and Laropal).
2003 September/October
Restoration of San Lorenzo church's altar-piece attributed to Emidio
Paci, painter of the XIX century. Oil on canvas, 230 cm x 140 cm
without frame.
Operations:
- Conservative restoration. Fixing of the colours with organic paste,
reconstruction of the support, improvement of the surfaces using
vacuum table, relining using organic paste;
- Painting restoration. Cleaning with both solvents (DMSO and Contrad
2000) and scalpel; applications of in-painting techniques: levelling
of the surfaces preparation of tempera-based colours and finishing
varnishes used in ''tratteggio'' selection and mimetic techniques;
varnishing with organic varnish (Blanc-matt).

Joint-work with restoration lab 'Restauro Realtime' in Ascoli Piceno
(Italy). Restoring ancient paintings and gilt frame
2002/2003
Experiences during the course of ancient paintings restoration in
Palazzo Spinelli - Florence.
In this period I have mastered these subjects:
-use of densifier products in the cleaning operations;
-use of vacuum technology for the improvement of the surfaces;
-modern methods of relining.
2000/2001 October/April
Restoration of two big altar-pieces and two small oval-shaped paintings
in the church of Torano Nuovo - Teramo - Italy. All the paints had
similar problems: deformation of surfaces, detachments and opacity
of colours, tears and holes in canvases
Operations:
- Conservative restoration. Fixing of the colours with organic paste,
reconstruction of the support, improvement of the surfaces using
heat and humidity, relining using organic paste;
- Painting restoration. Cleaning with both solvents (DMSO and Contrad
2000) and scalpel; applications of in-painting techniques: levelling
of the surfaces preparation of tempera-based colours and finishing
varnishes used in ''tratteggio'' selection and mimetic techniques;
varnishing with organic varnish (Blanc-matt).
2000 November
Cleaning with solvents (Buthil acetate + TEA) of a Raffaello Celommi's
oil on canvas (1920, 40 cm x 65 cm, with frame).
2000 October
Restoration of a Madonna's wooden statue (first half XX century),
140 cm x 60 cm x 50 cm, church of Torano Nuovo, Teramo, Italy.
Operations:
Removal colour coats over the original, reconstitution of the missing
parts, in-painting using mimetic technique, varnishing with synthetic
varnish.
2000 October
Restoration of an 1800's oval painting (oil on canvas) 60cm x 45
cm without frame.
Operations:
- Conservative restoration. Removal of cardboard support pasted
at the back with scalpel, removal paste and patches with scalpel,
reconstruction of the support, relining using organic paste;
- Painting restoration. Cleaning with solvents (DMSO); applications
of in-painting techniques: levelling of the surfaces and finishing
varnishes used in ''tratteggio'' selection and mimetic techniques;
varnishing with organic varnish (Blanc-matt).
